Bespoke Healthcare has become the first independent provider of neurophysiology testing services to achieve connection to the N3 NHS national network.

The company, which works in partnership with leading NHS hospitals throughout the UK, undertook the rigorous process to further protect the distribution of patient sensitive information through the secure NHSmail system while improving its clinical reporting turnaround time to less than 72 hours.

N3 is the secure national email and directory service for NHS staff in England and Scotland.  It has been developed specifically to meet BMA requirements for exchanging data between NHSmail users.

To achieve N3 connection a private company must prove a business requirement to use NHSmail, obtain a NHS sponsor and agree to a strict company audit, including an assessment of the company’s IT policies and procedures.

Once these steps are completed the company undertakes an IG Toolkit Assessment, whereby all staff who use NHSmail complete data management online training and learn of all other data security and management requirements.
